The Daily Doodle and a coffee chat.

Not particularly a doodle done the traditional way, but one I did with the GIMP program with an out of focus photo I took, and manipulated the colours and put in something. Can you find him? I was going to use it for the coming zine but the little creature was far too small to see.

I've also picked up a new little radio/cassette/cd player for my desktop. It also acts as a bluetooth speaker and I was in desperate need of one since my others stopped working and my wheel for my stereo's cassette tape stop working.

It's not a bad little radio. You're not going to get audiophile sound, but just sounds like an old school cheap little music player. Not bad sound at all, but not the greatest, as it's not meant to be. It's just a little
desktop, portable boombox.

Now here's the thing, I was making a copy of a cd of mine for a friend, (this records cds amazingly, and off the radio as well) but I thought, what if I can record from my computer via bluetooth or the aux cable? Turns out you can, but only to tape!

I'm going to need to pick up more blank cassettes today.

There's a few very hard to find or basically completely out of print albums someone uploaded to youtube that I went to record, and it worked perfectly once I played around with the audio as it records the streaming thing live, and turned off the sound to any computer notifications, as it records any sound coming from the computer.

Anyway, use that knowledge only with respects of getting stuff you can't find anywhere. Always support the artists while you can. Besides having that physical item is so worth it. I have purchased a cd recently by David Pritchard which is going to be in the Listening Centre post Monday. Amazing cd, and wonderful story inside on how he met Nash The Slash, and their friendship and bond over experimental music.

Anyway, that's what's up around here. Have a wonderful Saturday, and now I have a working cassette player again, I'm out to pick up more tapes. Maybe make my travels today around thrift shops and the local second hand record shop that still has cassettes (boxes of these things) and pick up some more.

Talk to you all later if I find anything cool at the shops.
