So as you may know, I'm into lomography. Basically I love using toy and vintage cameras. Actually, I should make a photo page at the top menu today to place some of my photography aside from in these posts. Anyway, I ended up getting my hands on this Kodak DX3600 yesterday.

So to get acquainted with this camera, I took it on my morning errands and put it to the test.
So I got ready for the day,
The ever classic bathroom mirror shot
Hit the surplus shop. (Redacted phone number)
Picked up a cool bag for the bike, and a hand crank key chain flash light.
Going to the supermarket I took a random photo of the cool mirrored building close by.
Then coming home, I got some footage of the ride across the bridge. I love the video camera on this thing. It makes it look like an old film strip on the lowest setting which is 160x120. The other setting on it is 320x240, and just looks like what you would expect from a late 90s and early 2000 camcorder look. But I love the low-fi-ness of cameras. I can see me using this setting a lot for some experimental stuff.
This only shoots in .MOV so I had to convert it to MP4 in Kdenlive, also I muted the audio of me and my dude talking. So it does take audio just I extracted it in Kdenlive. The audio though is what you would expect from a camera from 2001.
So that's my new baby! I really love the softness to the photos, and the noisiness of the video it takes.
