Good morning everyone, looks like a snow storm is going to hit here today, so it's a great morning to put on a great album, and enjoy a cup of coffee. That album today for me is one of my absolute favourite albums, definitely in my top 10 if I was to make a top 10. Wow! That would be really hard for me to rank albums that have meaning in my life. There's so many that are in my life's soundtrack, it would be impossible to narrow it all down.
However, this album is definitely up there as it was my introduction into this almost ethereal sounding style of music that mixes experimental, ambient and industrial into one amazing sound.
It is the amazing result of taking England's legendary Edward Ka-Spel from The Legendary Pink Dots, and Canada's legendary cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy. The result is a dark, and dreamy album on the theme of addictions and recovery. The absolute poetry of the track You And Me And Rainbows still comes back in my mind with its lyrics and moody synth sounds.
Do yourselves a favour today, and listen to this album with a good set of headphones, while looking outside during a storm. Let its story take you into it.
